Naroa Lizar is a Brooklyn-based conceptual artist from Spain. The creator of IartistLondon and co-founder of ArtLearningBank, Lizar received her MFA from Pratt Institute in 2013 with a Fulbright Scholarship. She previously studied Photography at The University for the Creative Arts in the UK (2009) and Journalism and Broadcasting from the University of the Basque Country, Spain (2006).

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including the Mykonos Biennale, Greece, MoMA Education Space, New York, The Smart Multimedia Art Festival in Michigan, US, Guided by Invoiced Gallery in New York, The Canal Foundation in Madrid, and the First Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art in Russia. Selected Publications include W Magazine, Art Dans Kunstmagazin, Vanity Fair, The London Times, Haaretz, Elsevier, and El Pais among many others.

From 2014 to 2017 she acted as the first Associate Director of Fridman Gallery in New York, an initiative she has been part of since its foundation in 2013. During that time she helped curate and organize a large number of exhibitions and events that have positioned the gallery as a referent of the New York art scene. As of 2019 she remains the Design Director for the gallery.

From 2015 to 2018 she was the manager of ANOTHER SPACE in New York, a program established by the Daniel and Estrellita B. Brodsky Family Foundation to broaden international awareness and appreciation of art from Latin America; as well as of Estrellita B. Brodsky’s personal art collection.

Since 2018 she’s combined her artistic practice with the direction of Deathsbycoconut, an independent graphic design studio for artists and galleries.
